mCompute - Cloud Compute Cluster

Our clustered compute environment is solely based on Gold Intel XEONs delivering reliable high-end performance.

What is mCompute?

mCompute - Cloud Compute Cluster

Within mCloud, our mCompute platform provides the high-end performance and horsepower necessary to run even the most demanding workloads.

The compute clusters that make up the platform utilise high-performance enterprise-grade Dell hardware, containing Intel XEON Gold CPUs and utilising NVMe SSD drives to ensure the best performance possible.

The compute clusters also provide protection against downtime through high-availability, meaning that your applications and workloads are replicated amongst the compute cluster with automatic failover in place to ensure they are protected from downtime due to hardware issues.

OpenStack - The technology powering mCompute

OpenStack is a cloud platform that allows users to control large pools of compute, storage, and networking resources throughout a data centre, all managed and provisioned through APIs with common authentication mechanisms.

The OpenStack platform is broken up into many individual services to allow for additional features to be added on an as-needed basis.

Initially developed by NASA and Rackspace, and used by companies such Walmart and Blizzard Entertainment, OpenStack has proven itself against other cloud platforms like Azure & AWS.

OpenStack

Powered by Dell

Through utilising high-performance enterprise-grade Dell hardware, we're able to provide.

  • Each compute node is powered by dual Intel XEON Gold CPUs
  • High core and RAM cluster capacities for running virtual machines and containers
  • High capacity and high performance storage
  • Comprehensive end-to-end hardware and software accountability
  • High Availability, ensuring the continuous operation for virtual workloads
